THE GLORIOUS NEWS IS THAT THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD
Lets look at the scriptures together
In the book of Matthew 12:28
" But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. "
Here what Jesus did was by the SPIRIT OF GOD and HE said "THE KINGDOM OF GOD HAS COME UNTO US"
Pointing to the fact that the KINGDOM OF GOD is in the SPIRIT OF GOD.
Also apostle Paul said in the book of Romans 14:17
" For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. "
From this scripture we see that the KINGDOM OF GOD is in the HOLY GHOST (RIGHTEOUSNESS,PEACE AND JOY in the HOLY GHOST), as pertaining to that same Kingdom Apostle Paul in the book of 1 Corinthians 4:20 made us to understand that the KINGDOM OF GOD is in power
" For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power."
THE SPIRIT OF GOD IN US
There are two measures of the HOLY GHOST that comes on a person first at new birth and then as you grow as a Christian.
First is the INFILLING OF THE HOLY GHOST and the second is the BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST
THE INFILLING OF THE HOLY GHOST:
This is what happens to us at new birth, this is the residence of the HOLY SPIRIT on the inside of us. Looking at the book of John 20:22
"And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:"
THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST
Luke 24:49 " And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."
Also in the book of Acts 1:8 He said "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you"
So there is a difference between the two, observing fully that both statements were made by JESUS,the first from John 20:22 spoke of the receiving of the HOLY GHOST and did not mention it with power and the other spoke of the HOLY GHOST in great power and with great authority, we can further consider that the Kingdom of GOD that Apostle Paul spoke about that was in power was in the baptism of the HOLY GHOST the one that would come upon us.
So child of GOD it is not just enough to operate in the first level of the HOLY GHOST which is the infilling but most necessary is to operate in the second level of the HOLY GHOST to enjoy the depth and true riches of the KINGDOM.
As pertaining to JESUS, He was GOD in flesh but could not manifest in great power till the HOLY GHOST came upon HIM after HIS baptism which was by immersion.
If JESUS could not fulfill HIS assignment till He was baptised in the HOLY GHOST, and this same JESUS told HIS disciples not to leave Jerusalem till they were baptised, this paints a necessary picture that the infilling is not just enough but most necessary is the BAPTISM OF THE HOLYGHOST.
The next question I guess would be HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN IN MY LIFE?
First there must be a first level of relationship with the Father (you must be born again) from the very life of JESUS and the disciples. Jesus without a doubt had a wonderful relationship with GOD and same with the disciples as a matter of fact they were with JESUS on a daily base, they were in close relationship with the Father in the person of JESUS that He called them friends John 15:15.
Second of all was that there must be a hunger for depth, for the baptism of the HOLY GHOST. First lets look at the very life of JESUS He was hungry for the depth and this was explained when He studied the book of the law that HE got the mystery behind it, that made the doctors of the law to ponder Luke 2:47. That not withstanding He still went to be baptised by someone lower than He was (this was because HE knew that there was a depth and HE desperately hungered for it); in the definition of John the Baptist, he said whose shoes he was not worthy to untie John 1:27.
THEN HOW WOULD THIS REFER TO YOU
You must be in a working relationship with your Father in heaven and take queue from JESUS through BIBLE STUDY and being in fellowship with the Father through prayers. Secondly you must be hungry for the baptism of the HOLY GHOST, but your hunger is not complete without asking to receive. In the book of 2Tim 1:6 "Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands."
Alot of times we receive this gift by the laying on of hands from anointed men of GOD, but first and foremost the first two requirement must be met.
After this you must be expectant in prayers,in thanksgiving to GOD.
