Understanding Obedience What is obedience? Obedience is the demonstration of the multifaceted wisdom of God. It is proving God true in whatever He says and is a sincere act of faith. I need you to understand the wisdom and the power of God in His Word. And not just the power but the wisdom therein as in the book of John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,(and we beheld his glory,the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth" From this scripture we understand that Jesus is the Word of God and from the book of Corinthians 1:24 "...Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." WHAT ARE WE TO OBEY

The question that arises next is what are we to obey? We are to obey the commandments of God from the very words of Jesus in the book of John14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (KJV)  Then this same question comes up What are His commandments? In the book of Mark 12:29-30 "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is,Hear, O Isreal; The Lord our God is one Lord. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,and with all thy soul and with all thy mind and with all thy strength: This is the first commandment" (KJV) From verse 29 Jesus said the Lord thy God is one Lord what does this have to do with Loving the Lord? This is because God is one with His word and His word never changes. What was the Word Jesus was emphasising on?
